Sealants are thin white films that are painted over your child's 6-year and 12-year molars to minimize the chance of developing cavities. These are strongly recommended for your child's back teeth that have deep grooves on the chewing surfaces. Placement of sealant is simple and well tolerated by children. Sealants can also benefit adults who prefer to maximize prevention of tooth decay.
