IMPLANTS
Implants are made of Titanium metal due to its property to integrate with bone and to provide support for the fabrication of crowns and bridges or dentures when one or more teeth are missing. This is a two step process where the surgical placement of the titanium implant in the bone is performed by an oral surgeon, or periodontist. After the implant has integrated with bone which takes between 4 to 6 months, crown, bridges, or dentures are used to restore on top of these implants for function and esthetic. This second phase is performed by a general dentist who has experience in cosmetic dentistry as well as experience in restoring implants.
