Zirconium crowns are the strongest ceramic crowns that are used to restore, support, and enhance the esthetic of teeth that are damaged structurally. There are also other types of crowns that are made of metal such as gold, mixed alloys, or porcelain fused to a mixed of metals. Mixed alloyed and porcelain fused to metal crowns tend to be less esthetic and sometimes not biocompatible.
